- Rowald: You are Laotian and Chinese. Were
you born in Canada and if not were?
- Niki: I was born in the back seat of my uncle's
Subaru in the parking lot of the emergency room of the hospital in Hamilton
haha!
- Rowald: Did you grow up in Canada?
- Niki: Yes I did!
- Rowald: Tell a bit about your youth.
- Niki: I was one of the only visible minority in my
elementary and middleschools so it was hard sometimes because no one understood
me. All my friends were starting to go to school dances with guys, but no one
wanted to go with me ( the only asian girl lol.)
- Rowald: When did you start modelling?
- Niki: I was spotted at a club and at car shows
when I was 18.
- Rowald: Did you take any classes for
modeling or acting?
- Niki: I never took any classes for both, but when
I was younger I use to watch all the pageants and fashion shows wit my mom! As
for acting I always wanted to get into it but I never have!
- Rowald: What made you decide to pursue
it?
- Niki: After I did a few car shows I realized I
wanted to do more and further pursue modeling!
- Rowald: What do you do to make a shoot
working out?
- Niki: Have everything organized before I go in.
Communicating with the photographer about the details and making sure I have
everything ready on my part!
- Rowald: What was your most exiting modeling
moment?
- Niki: My most exciting modeling moment would be
when I was the feature model of the grand prix of Toronto.
- Rowald: Is that also what you are most proud
of or what would that be?
- Niki: I am most proud of making it to where I am.
Because there were people and obstacles in the way trying to stop me from doing
what I have done!
- Rowald: What do you think about your
look?
- Niki: I think I can look exotic! No one can ever
guess what my nationality is. I've gotten Bohemian to Hawaiian. People have
also said that I must come from a land where mermaids exists lol!
- Rowald: I guess you do not do modeling full
time. What else do you do?
- Niki: I work full time on camera to an audience in
China and South Africa!
- Rowald: What's your experience been like so
far? How has the industry treated you so far?
- Niki: No words can describe what the experience
has been like. The industry has been great and I'm just looking forward to more
experiences.
- Rowald: What type of reaction do you get
when you go out?
- Niki: I'm just me! Sometimes head turns but it
could be because my hair isn't brushed haha.
- Rowald: Have you been disrespected by men
because of modeling?
- Niki: Yes! But I give them a piece of my
mind!
- Rowald: What are the worst assumptions
people make about models?
- Niki: The worst I got from people were that we're
snobs, high maintenance and sluts! Which all of them are untrue!
- Rowald: Do you have a thing you always have
in your purse that you can't leave home without?
- Niki: Chapstick and my cell phone! =)
- Rowald: What is your favourite type of
clothing or accessories to shop for?
- Niki: Urban and comfortable clothing! I love
accessories anything that has hearts on it!
- Rowald: Do you have any favorite color you
like to wear?
- Niki: Pink, white (isn't a colour, but you get my
point!) earthy tones!
- Rowald: What type of music do you listen
to?
- Niki: Hip hop, R&B, Reggae, Dirty house and
electro!
- Rowald: Do you have favorite food,
drinks?
- Niki: Coca cola, strawberry and taro bubble tea!
Food everything!
- Rowald: Would you consider yourself a health
freak?
- Niki: Yes!
- Rowald: Do you hit the gym allot?
- Niki: I go every other week, I also love dancing
on the weekends, so to me that's exercising!
- Rowald: Where do you see yourself 5 years
from now?
- Niki: Hopefully well known locally at least as a
model and owning my own condo, car and hosting a show on T.V.
- Rowald: Do you speak any other
languages?
- Niki: Laotian and a little bit French!
- Rowald: Are you in a relationship?
- Niki: Happily in love.
- Rowald: What's your favorite body part on a
man?
- Niki: Face!
- Rowald: Do you have any favorite
artists?
- Niki: None in particular.
- Rowald: Did you ever want to become an
artist?
- Niki: Nope!
- Rowald: What other talents do you
pursue?
- Niki: I am a fantastic cook and dancer...
- Rowald: Do you have any hobbies?
- Niki: Dancing, cooking, photography and hanging
out with the friends!
- Rowald: Did you travel a lot and where
to?
- Niki: Yes! Down south (Cancun) to the white, sandy
beaches and to the states (N.Y.C) to shop!
- Rowald: Where would you like to go?
- Niki: Egypt!
